Hands and Hearts for Horses needs your help with their summer camps! Volunteers are needed to assist with leading/side-walking for rides, grooming and getting horses ready, help around the barn and property, and assist with arts and crafts and other activities. You also have the opportunity to plan arts and crafts activities to do with campers in 45-minute rotations.
Volunteers are needed from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. the following weeks (Volunteers can spend the whole day (preferred) or only part of the day):
June 5 – 9
June 12 – 16
June 26 – 30
July 10 – 14
July 17 – 21
July 24 – 28
Additional information:
Volunteers must wear closed-those shoes and wear conservative shorts and tank tops.
Please bring your own lunch if coming for the whole day. They do not provide meals.
Please bring a refillable water bottle so you can fill it up as needed. They will have a water cooler on hand.
Fridays are water days. Please bring a towel and a change of clothes, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet! Volunteers will not be able to wear swim suits without shorts/shirts over them.

Project IMPACT Summer Service Camp is a week of hands-on volunteer service for rising 6-9th graders. Students may earn up to 20 community service hours for their participation (pending prior approval from their school) that may be applied to the upcoming school year. Spots fill up fast!

The Friends of Lost Creek Forest are looking for volunteers to help with maintaining the Thomasville Pollinator Garden on Mondays from 4:00 p.m. to dark and on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m.-Noon. You can learn about native plants and pollinators, and spend time with others in a great outdoor environment. Any age is welcome but HOTC does require any volunteers under the age of 16 to be accompanied by an adult. Bring loppers and work gloves if you have them. You are not required to stay the full length of time. Come when you can and stay for however long you would like.
