Today’s theme, the environment, meant another hot, sweaty day outside. We spent it at Birdsong Nature Center helping remove invasive plant species – from privet to bamboo, campers identified, chopped, dug up, and hauled all they could find around the central grounds. And there was a lot to be found! Afterwards, they helped build a water table with Keep Thomas County Beautiful, learning how water travels, ending in our drinking cups. There was also an old-fashion game of Red Rover which proved the test of time, “tree hugging”, a positive paper airplane game, and trips to the “bird window”. Anyone tired yet?!
