Giving back to your community can be a most rewarding experience. At Sowega Council on Aging, we offer a variety of areas that anyone between the ages 18-100 would enjoy. From office duties to ramp building, there is a place for someone wanting to make a difference in the lives of our senior citizens. Our volunteer process is simple and includes a background check for the safety of our seniors.

Advisory Council/Site Council Member

If you have an interest in the wellbeing of seniors in the southwest Georgia area this opportunity allows you to provide input on areas that impact our target population.

AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP: Retired Senior Volunteer Program

Individuals will need fill out a volunteer packet and consent form prior to volunteering. Once your packet and form is received, a SOWEGA representative will contact you to schedule a background/fingerprint check at a location convenient for you. You will also complete an orientation for general training.
