HOTC Day 2019 “Rescheduled”
Dear HOTC Day Supporters and Volunteers,
As weather forecasts are predicting tropical force winds and rain for our area, we have decided that the safest action we can take to ensure our volunteers\’ safety is to postpone our Hands On Thomas County Day projects scheduled for this Saturday, October 19.
Our wish is to reschedule these projects on different dates in the near future, with group volunteer leaders working individually with the agency leaders to determine the best window of opportunity.
We\’re sad we won\’t be together on a day we really look forward to all year, but we\’d rather know that all our volunteers are safe and that we\’ll still have the opportunity to meet our commitments on another day.
If you were scheduled to volunteer on HOTC Day:
1) Reach out to your volunteer group team leader for further instructions.
2) Tshirts will be picked up and distributed by your group volunteer team leader.
3) If you signed up as an individual/family volunteer, please visit us at our office next week to pick up your tshirt(s).
4) Sign up for Family Volunteer Day on November 9. Registration is now open, and sites will be added as able.
Wind and rain may keep us from coming together on this one day, but it will not keep us from our mission. We look forward to seeing the results of your teamwork over the coming weeks.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and volunteer spirit!
