Event Details
You are invited to be a part of a special Project Backyard service opportunity coming up on Saturday, June 1. They will be partnering with the City Police, the Dewey City watch group, and the Faircloth watch group to host a community clean up event in Thomasville from 8am-12pm, as well as facilitating a community fun day event at Weston Park from 11am-3pm.
For the “community clean up” event, Project Backyard volunteers will be teaming up with residents of the Dewey City and Faircloth communities to walk the streets, picking up trash and debris. This will not only help beautify the Dewey City and Faircloth areas, it will also be a great opportunity to build relationships with our Tville brothers and sisters who we might otherwise have no interaction with on a daily basis. For the “community fun day” event, we will be helping host a community cookout, facilitating games for children, distributing nonperishable food items to those in need, and much more!
There will be plenty of ways for you to serve, so we hope you can join us as we take to the streets to show the love of Jesus to our neighbors. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 229.233.0409 or info@projectbackyard.com. Sign up to volunteer here.
COMMUNITY CLEAN UP DETAILS: (8AM-12PM)
For those who are available to serve with us starting at 8am, all volunteers will be meeting at that time next to the Black History Museum, located at 214 Alexander St, Thomasville, GA 31792 (Get Directions). When you arrive, we will have a brief volunteer meeting before joining the other groups to begin the community cleanup.
COMMUNITY FUN DAY DETAILS: (12PM-3PM)
For those who are available to serve with us starting at 11am, volunteers will be meeting at Weston Park, located at 223 Felix St, Thomasville, GA 31792 (Get Directions).
