Keep Thomas County Beautiful needs help installing a “Teaching Food Garden” at the Thomasville Community Resource Garden from 8:30am – noon on Saturday, August 20. The garden is intended to educate kids and the community on gardening basics and healthy food options.
Volunteers will be installing three 3′ x 8′ wooden raised beds. Materials for the bed will be pre-cut and partially assembled, add soil to each bed, and help plant citrus trees and vegetables.
Recommended for ages 12+. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult volunteer. Please dress to get dirty and wear closed-toe shoes.
