The Nation’s Largest community improvement project. Sign up to join Keep Thomas County Beautiful on Saturday, March 23 to help pick up litter on major roadways in Thomas County. This is a great volunteer opportunity.
Get your friends, family, church group, co-workers, civic club, school group or sign up as an individual as we work together to combat the litter issues in our community. You will meet at the large picnic pavilion at Cherokee Lake Park at 8:30 a.m. to get your pick-up location, supplies and safety equipment. Together we can make a difference and make Thomas County shine!
Roadway cleanups are for adults and children ages 12+. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by supervising adult. Smaller children can help pick litter up at Cherokee Lake.
*Make sure to wear long pants, light colored clothing and closed toed shoes. Sunscreen and insect repellent is advised.
Keep Thomas County Beautiful (KTCB) believes that each of us has a responsibility to protect and improve our environment. We support local coalitions of volunteers, businesses and government entities in enhancing our communities by preventing litter, reducing waste, conserving water, providing educational resources, and beautifying public spaces.
