Passionate about animals? Want to volunteer at the shelter but don’t know how to handle some of the more rambunctious dogs? This training is just for you. Open to all levels of training! You’ll learn basic skills of animal behavior, how to teach basic commands, and more advanced skills! Plus, you get the shelter dogs out of their kennels for the day and who doesn’t love puppy loving??
TTCHS requires that teen volunteers be at least 14 years old and that they volunteer at the shelter in 2 hour blocks. This assures they have adequate time to spend with the animals, but they don’t get bored and restless. Teens under 14 may also volunteer but only when accompanied by an adult. Volunteers ages 18 and over are also welcome and are not limited.
For more information, please call (229) 228-0613.
Don’t forget to tell them HOTC sent you!
