The Thomasville-Thomas County Habitat for Humanity, a local non-profit organization, is holding a series of events to auction and sell lumber, antiques, industrial art, and photographs from Bracey Lumber and Millworks on April 13 and April 20, capped off with a Block Party on May 3, as part of Downtown Thomasville First Friday.
The event includes the rare opportunity for a guided tour of this amazing 25,000 square foot building, which is listed on the National Register as part of the Thomasville Commercial Historic District. Volunteers are needed for:
- Pre-Planning from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (minimum 2 hour shifts – 10 volunteers needed for each day)
- March 30
- April 6
- April 10
- *Event Volunteers (host/hostesses, tour guides, lumber guides, auction supervisors) from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (minimum 2 hour shifts – 4 volunteers needed each day)
- April 13
- April 20
- *Event Volunteers from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (minimum 2 hour shifts)
- May 3
*Event volunteers will need to attend a 30-minutes training prior to the event.
Recommended age to volunteer is 16+.
