Birdsong’s first fall plant sale is coming up this weekend!
Our pre-sale volunteer workday happens on Thursday, October 13th, when we gather to label and price all our many plants, including those donated by volunteers and those from a shipment we receive that day from Superior Trees. Lunch is provided and then we lay out our plants in designated sections for viewing. No plant expertise is required. Meet at 9am. We usually wrap up by 2.
On sale day, Saturday, October 15th, from 9 – 1 we could use help with:
– directing traffic in the parking area
– tallying up orders of plants (this is not cashiering)
– helping people to their cars with their purchases
– if you are a knowledgeable gardener: answering questions from customers.
These activities are fun and easy to do; you will have plenty of support and fellow volunteers; you’ll get to meet some wonderful, knowledgeable folks; and it is all for a very good cause. The funds we raise at the Birdsong plant sales go toward the Center’s operating needs and keeping this place in beautiful shape for wildlife, education, and the benefit of our visitors. We’d love to have your help!
