The Douglass High School Alumni Association (DHSAA) is pleased to sponsor the 3rd Annual Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, June 18 in partnership with the No More Shackles Empowerment Mentoring Program. Our goal is to educate everyone about African Americans’ freedom and achievements while encouraging continuous self-development and respect for all cultures. Learn more here.
This celebration is to create unity in the community, as well as to break pre-judgmental barriers about the origins of the African Americans’ path to freedom. This community-wide event will also offer a parade (at 10:00 am), a car & truck show, delicious food, vendors, local exhibitors, entertainment, and much more!
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FROM 12PM – 6PM TO HELP WITH:

- children’s activities
