Help fight hunger with Second Harvest. Volunteers are needed every Monday-Friday between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. (except 1pm – 2pm when they are closed). **Groups of 8-10 are preferred, but individuals and families can be accommodated.
You will sort, organize, and pack food pantry boxes that will later be distributed to local families and seniors in need. This is a busy, warehouse environment recommended for ages 12 and up only. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult volunteer. Being able to stand for periods of time, and lift potentially heavy items required.
This is a no-frills service opportunity. Please bring anything you will need to be comfortable, and wear appropriate attire and closed-toe shoes. If you have a HOTC t-shirt (any year, any program), wear it to show your support!

The Friends of Lost Creek Forest are looking for volunteers to help with maintaining the Thomasville Pollinator Garden on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to dark and on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m.-Noon. You can learn about native plants and pollinators, and spend time with others in a great outdoor environment. Any age is welcome but HOTC does require any volunteers under the age of 16 to be accompanied by an adult. Bring loppers and work gloves if you have them. You are not required to stay the full length of time. Come when you can and stay for however long you would like.
