Butterfly Garden volunteers meet on the first Thursday of the month to maintain the beautiful Butterfly Garden at Birdsong Nature Center. They would love for you to join their group every month or just whenever you can. They weed, plant, and prune the garden. All you need to bring is gardening gloves, knee pads, and clippers. You may also bring your lunch, if you wish to stay afterwards.
If you are able to share butterfly plants, both nectar and larval food plants, the butterflies would be grateful. Mulch donations – pine straw bales or bags of leaves are always appreciated – but only if it is clean and free of weeds and invasive plants.
Please call Donna Legare at (850) 386-1148 or the Birdsong office at (229) 377-4408 to let them know you’re coming.
