Hands On Thomas County Adds Six for Tenth

Hands On Thomas County (HOTC) welcomes six community leaders to its Board of Directors for 2013-14. Dale Aldridge/Southwest Georgia Technical College, Jim Carter/Archbold Memorial Hospital, Jay Flowers/CORE Rewards, Arline Hampton/Thomasville Main Street, Mary Lawrence Lang/Suites of Woodleaf, and Jennifer Lindquist/Thomas University, will be part of an active and enthusiastic volunteer board of 19 Thomas County citizens led by incoming Board Chair Tom Everett/Thomasville YMCA, Vice Chair Kha McDonald/City of Thomasville, Treasurer Eric Ward/Commercial Bank and Corresponding Secretary Bill Fuller/Flowers Foods.

They join returning Board Members Nathaniel Abrams/Abrams Mobile Document Destruction Services, Danny Dukes/America’s Second Harvest, Charlotte Hodges/Thomasville National Bank, Jenny Ladson/Brookwood, (Ex-Officio) Rick Munroe/Thomas University, Jeremy Rich/Bishop Hall Charter School, Allen Thornhill/HD Supply & Waterworks, Todd Whiddon/Golden Services, and Brian Wortman/Farmers & Merchants Bank.

“Hands On Thomas County welcomes these new and returning Board Members at an exciting time for our organization.” Says HOTC Executive Director Angela Kiminas, “We are entering our tenth year of service to the community, and during this milestone anniversary, we look forward to making this year even bigger and better in terms of volunteer participation, projects completed and non-profits we help.”

HOTC also welcomes new staff member, Jonathan Fischer as Programs & Events Director. Mr. Fischer currently serves on the Board of Project Backyard and is active with Young Life Ministries.

Says Fischer, “I look forward to creating new opportunities and relationships through HOTC that will help connect the community to the many service needs in our area.”

Mr. Fischer’s first assignment will be helping to coordinate project sites and volunteers for the 10th annual Hands On Thomas County Day on October 19, 2013.
